ALLERGIES
1. It is the responsibility of the customer to advise me of any known allergies to any ingredients that may be used in cakes.
2. Allergen information is provided on all orders and clearly labelled on your cake box. Please check these carefully.
3. Your cake is made in a kitchen that handles allergens. I can make gluten-free or dairy-free cakes as long as I know in advance and can avoid cross-contamination.

FINAL CHECK

COLLECTION & DELIVERY
1. We will agree on a suitable time for collection.
2. If you collect your cake from Wendy's Home Cakery, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure the safety of the cake until it reaches its required destination. I cannot be held liable for any damage to the cake after it has been collected. Please remember that cake decorations are very delicate. If any damage occurs after collection, then you can advise me and request a repair, which will be costed accordingly.
3. If you order tiered cakes, please be aware that there will be a thin cake board between the tiers and wooden or plastic dowelling rods through the centre of the cakes for support.
4. I always recommend you transport your cake in the boot or in the car footwell. Please keep the car cool, but do not blow cold air con directly onto your cake.
STORAGE
1. FONDANT COVERED CAKES
1.1 Fondant cakes (or sugar paste) covered cakes should be stored in their cardboard box in a cool (but not cold) place away from direct natural or artificial light.
1.2 Do not refrigerate fondant-covered cakes or fondant figures, as this causes condensation and may cause colours to run. However, this will not affect the cake's taste.
1.3 If your fondant-covered cake is stored correctly, it can stay fresh for up to 10 days. The fondant acts as a barrier to air that causes the cake to go stale.
2. BUTTERCREAM CAKES
2.1 Buttercream cakes can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage or if the temperature is warm, place in the fridge (in the box), and it should be taken out of the fridge two hours before you need it
2.2 Always keep your cake out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
2.3 If it is over 24 degrees Celsius or the cake has perishable fillings (like fruit, custard or fresh cream), the cake should be refrigerated.
3. FREEZING LEFTOVERS
3.1 Your cakes are made to order and can be safely frozen for up to 3 months when wrapped, sealed and stored correctly. If you freeze your cake portions, please thaw them for 1-1.5 hours before consuming.
SET UP
1. It is your responsibility to ensure your chosen venue supplies a suitable table, stand and location for your cake. During high temperatures, it is advisable to store your cake in an air-conditioned room or placed in a fridge until cutting time, or delivered later in the day.
2. Any cake placed outside or in a warm room is susceptible to melting in the heat. We have no control over the stability of your cake if the temperature is warm and the cake is displayed in very warm conditions.
NON-EDIBLE ITEMS
Most cakes will contain non-edible items; all tiered cakes will contain dowels for stability, or wire attached to flowers and ribbon. It is your responsibility that these items are not eaten by your guests at your event. If you add flowers to your cake and these are provided by your florist, please ensure they are non-toxic and suitable for your cake. Wendy's Home Cakery ois not liable for flowers added to your cake after delivery or collection.
DESIGN & PHOTOGRAPHY
I reserve the right to photograph your cake and use images for marketing and social media purposes. No cake is identical to another cake. Wendy's Home Cakery makes all your cakes from scratch and hand-makes all the decorations; therefore, you may have slight variations.
